Cleaning Checklist

⃞ Baseboards – must be dusted and cleaned of smudges, foot prints, scuffs
⃞ Switches – clean off all smudges, fingerprints

⃞ Window Panes and Sills – should be clean and clear

⃞ Blinds – free of dust & smudges. Make sure they open easily and that they close properly.
⃞ Oven – no food residue, black grease or smudges on the door or handles.

⃞ Burners/Glass Stove Top – no food particles, glass tops cleaned with special glass
cleaner. If you have drip pans, they should be replaced.
⃞ Broiler – no food particles, make sure you remove all pans and personal belongings
(in case you thought that was just a drawer under your oven!)

⃞ Vent Hood – wiped free of smudges, replace the filter over the fan, make sure light
works and there are no food particles or stains on the bulb.
⃞ Refrigerator/Freezer – emptied of all food, food particles, stains. Must be thoroughly
wiped down; remove the crisper bins and make sure you clean behind them. Make
sure the light and cover are clean, free of food residue. (don’t unplug it or turn it off)

⃞ Microwave – remove all food residue and stains; inside and outside of door/glass should
be clean of smudges
⃞ Backsplash – might be best to prime and re-paint, if drywall. Wipe down all
ornamental tile free of food stains and smudges

⃞ Dishwasher – clean out all detergent residue, wipe down the edge of the door and
run an empty load without detergent.
⃞ Garbage Disposal – tested to make sure it functions; remove any food particles, clean
the exterior/visible portion of the drain; deodorize if necessary with excess detergent.

⃞ Sinks/Faucets – remove all smudges and wipe down clean with antibacterial product
⃞ Countertops (kitchen and bath vanity) – free of all food crumbs, stains and wiped
down with antibacterial product

⃞ Tub/Shower & Fixtures – free of any hair, soap scum, mildew. Wipe down with bleach
product to ensure clean and sanitary condition.
⃞ Toilet – free of any hair (especially around the floor), wipe clean inside and out of
bowl, seat, tank with bleach product

⃞ Medicine Cabinet/Vanity – wiped free of any hair, chemical or soap residue
⃞ Washing Machine/Dryer – free of all personal belongings, wiped down to remove all
lint, hair, dust and debris; clean lint trap.

⃞ Ceiling Lights and Fans – must be dusted and replace all light bulbs that are burned out.
