Michael Jackson received a lot of support from the music
industry. Record chain owners reported that Michael Jackson's
album sales had, in fact, increased after the child abuse allega-
tions. Even though radio listeners said they would continue to
buy Michael Jackson's records and go to his concerts, as of this
writing, Michael Jackson has not done a national concert in
the United States since the child abuse allegations. It is appar-
ent that his fans in the United States miss the incredible talent
of the King of Pop. When he walked out on stage at the Jack-
son Family Honors which took place in February of 1994 at
the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, the entire audience rose
to their feet cheering, waiving, blowing kisses and shouting "I
love you!" for over eight minutes. The audience was in an
uproar!
As of September 1999, the six year statute of limitations
has run out on the child molestation allegations. Although
this case was concluded when the grand jury could not find
enough credible evidence to indict Michael Jackson, it is offi-
cially over and Michael Jackson is moving on with his life.
