Page 19 - A MEASURE OF FAITH
P. 19
Then he believed in the Lord; and it He reckoned it to him as
righteousness. (Gen. 15:6)
And being fully assured of that what God had promised, He was able to
perform. Therefore it was credited to him as righteousness. (Rom. 4:20-21)
14. A faith That Starts Small But Reaches Out To Many.
In the parable above Jesus compares the kingdom of God with a small number of
folks to a mustard seed but then it grows and becomes mature and the birds of
the air nest on its branches.
The life of the believer follows pretty much the same growth pattern of the
mustard tree and when this believer continues believing in Christ and
continuously puts his trust and hope in the lord then Christ shines his glory on
this person.
And as the path of the righteous gets brighter by the day this light illuminates
the dark places by acting like a pilot light that guides the captain in flight
according to the word of God.
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does
anyone light a lamp and puts it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it
gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a
way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in
heaven” (Matt. 5:14-16)
