Intra-oral mapping technology (Digital Impression Systems) is
one of the most exciting new areas in dentistry today. Generally
speaking, digital scanners address the major problems and
disadvantages of the traditional impression taking process like
mold instability, plaster pouring, laceration on margins and the
geometrical and dimensional discrepancy between the die and the
mold. Digital impression systems give doctors and labs several distinct
advantages: high fidelity models, creation of 3D archives and surgery
simulation and process simplification.

This digital image of the mouth is seamlessly integrated with
R-Dent Labs procedures. R-Dent uses these files to continue
the digital workflow to the fullest. We fabricate all of our fixed
restorations from the original digital file using the model as a
second verification of bite, contacts and occlusion. R·dent is
currently accepting digital cases from most of the popular impression
systems and new system technology is being added regularly.
