How the Progressive Writing
Assignment Works
One of the following topics will serve as the basis for your first essay.
In this chapter , you complete your prewriting for the essay.
Throughout the next five chapters, each progressive assignment takes
you a step further toward a completed essay. By the time you finish
the assignment at the end of Chapter 7 , you will have completed
all the steps in the writing process and will have a finished essay.
