WHO –Technical Support on Measles Follow-up Campaign in Sudan 2019
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In April 2019, I was offered the opportunity to design the M&E tools for the Measles SIA Sudan.
The model of data collection during campaigns was practiced during the campaigns in Pakistan
and it showed outstanding results in managing the monitoring findings.
The Online data collection tool provides real time monitoring data from the field and it is useful
application to analyze the results on coverage in states, districts and localities. Further it provides
in-depth analysis on the reasons for non- vaccination, the source of campaign information and all
other indicators captured in the standard monitoring checklists of EPI.
This report summarizes the main outputs of the technical assistance provided which was
concentrated in three areas: (1) development of KOBO Data collection application (2) Training of
Government Supervisor and WHO independent monitors on the use of the application; (3) In-depth
analysis for all the key indicators and sharing with Program managers.
