Cardiff Uni BTEC and A level
Sport Trip
In January, A level PE and BTEC Sport Lower Sixth
students had an unforgettable day at Cardiff Met
University's Cyncoed Campus. From an inspiring
careers talk to an insider’s tour of the campus, the
day was packed with eye-opening opportunities.
Students explored life beyond Millfield with hands-
on workshops in exercise physiology, performance
analysis, strength and conditioning, and coaching
pedagogy. There was even time to chill out and
soak in the buzzing atmosphere of the Student
Union. It was an exciting and valuable glimpse
into the world of university sport and study; an
experience that left many dreaming big for what
comes next!

Wraxhall Vineyard Business Trip
Wraxhall Vineyard, one of Somerset’s oldest,
award-winning English wine producers, provided
our Upper Sixth Business students with a valuable
two-hour workshop led by owners David and
Lexa. Set in the stunning Somerset countryside,
the session explored key business concepts
including mission statements, SWOT analysis,
and future growth strategies. The insights gained
will support students’ classroom learning and
exam preparation. We highly recommend visiting
Wraxhall for one of their fantastic event evenings
– enjoy a glass of wine and a pizza, relax in the
sunshine, and take in the breathtaking views of this
historic and inspiring vineyard.
