               A.1 Introduction

The strong drive to pursue a certain career generally stems from constantly developing

interests in the different aspects of the job. However, like most children, I have always found

myself fascinated by a large variety of different fields from architecture to interstellar travel.
Previously, my goal as a child was to become a game developer, but more recently, I started to

gain an interest in the psychology behind different people’s mannerisms and behaviours.

Gradually, these budding interests start to make me wonder what career path I would like to
choose later in life. Although, occasionally, I had to question myself if it would be possible to

figure it out someday, as it seemed like an unsolved puzzle that I was so eager to put the pieces

to. In order to seek that knowledge, I took countless online career path quizzes and read about
many different subjects to enhance my knowledge on different occupations in my free time to

explore all its different aspects. Yet to my dismay, I was still no closer to the clean-cut answer I

was looking for. In short, my enthusiasm about different activities was only temporary before
               something else came up.

When I thought deeply about attempting to find a spark to finally find a passion that I

would stick to, I found myself realizing that there was something holding me back. Many

different ideas had crossed my mind, but ultimately, I came to that conclusion after trying to
brainstorm different ideas for the Personal Project, (a necessary creative component for the

transition from the Middle Years Program to the International Baccalaureate Program). Upon

coming to this realization, I knew I would encounter a wide variety of difficulties and
limitations, which is why I would need to comprehend what I want from life, in such a manner

which emphasizes upon exploring my personal identity. This includes the knowledge of

personal, work, social values and beliefs, as well as the interconnectedness/relations of different
individuals from a broad range of changing perspectives. Understanding this concept and how I

can better manage myself will not only make choosing an appropriate career much clearer for

me, but provides the potential to further benefit me throughout my life in a multitude of ways
               and forms.
