Snoozer and Cruiser

When you feel as if you are just snoozing and cruising, you kinda feel like you are

having a ‘light’ sleep. Not only is this due to menopause, but also because, as

child-bearing and rearing females, our brain biology is geared up for listening for

children’s cries in the night! Yes, totally true! So, old habits kick in when lowering

oestrogen levels interfere with melatonin. When you are awake, your brain is busy

thinking about all sorts of concerns. This is also impacted by the lowering of your

mood and worry hormone, called serotonin. When oestrogen is low, so too is

serotonin. These two hormones operate together.
