3.1 Culture

Culture is:

the set of values, guiding beliefs, understandings and ways of thinking
that are shared by the members of an organisation and is taught to new
members as correct. It represents the unwritten, feeling part of the
organisation.

3.2 Influences on culture

The structure and culture of an organisation will develop over time and will be
determined by a complex set of variables, including:

 size

 technology

 diversity

 age

 history

 ownership.
