               Subtle, Yet Effective


               McDonald's training of their staff always starts with a very simple concept:
               “Would you like fries with that?”

               Everyone working the front counter are required to ask that little simple question
               to every customer.  It should not surprise you to learn that French fry sales went
               up dramatically across the country when it was first implemented - and they sell

               more French fries today than any other restaurant on the planet!
               It's that simple and it works very effectively.

               I was recently out at a restaurant and we had a very good waitress. You could tell
               she's been doing it for a while. As she cleared our appetizer plates away “don’t
               forget to save room for dessert. We've got some of the best desserts in town.” She
