DAY 1 The Cresset

JULY 21, FRIDAY

BVP PDC 2017 began on a high note with
over 200 participants flooding in to the
registrations desk followed by a glorious

opening ceremony which included a
palpable dance performance, a melodious
band performance and an eye-opening
video that made everyone gallop reality
through motion stills. The Chief Guest for

the event was Mr Amit Arya, Media
Adviser to the Chief Minister of Haryana
who motivated the participants to not
argue with words but share them in a

debate. This followed the release of tabs
which constituted of themes such as
children, media and politics. The day
witnessed heated arguments amongst

prolific debaters on motions such as Chris
Bennington as a role model for kids,
employment of medical graduates in local
government, privatisation of all

Government News channels, etc. The day
concluded with three sets of wrangling
debates which not only filled enthusiasm in
the participants but also widened their

perspective through the art of deliberation.
