Parliamentary Debate Championship at
Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula observed
fiery debates amongst young debaters

fighting for their place in the octa-finals on
the second day. The engrossing motions
on the themes sports and feminism had
the participants testing their minds to the
limits and coming up with heated

arguments to prove their points. The
motions such as inclusion of e-sports like
FIFA and Counter Strike in Olympics
intrigued the young minds to squabble with

intellect and enthusiasm. Critical motions
such as to allow women to carry fire arms
considering the history of domestic
violence, expanded the horizon of the

debaters to think out of the box. The
teams deliberated with all their dedication
to make their mark in the “Top Sixteen”
list. After the debate, a session of

exhilarating titles such as Narendra Modi,
Donald Trump, Hilary Clinton etc. were
awarded to the debaters. This was not
only exciting but also busted the stress of

the participants. The top sixteen teams
were announced which would wrangle with
words tomorrow to reach the semi final
and final round.
