Tools
A multiple set of tools were used to conduct this mapping. This included:
1) desk research, 2) survey questionnaires, 3) semi-structured KIIs, 4) focus groups
Desk Review
While it was very rare to find updated studies (or at least issued after 2011) specifically
treating the subject of youth in Syria, the information yielded from these sources
provided insights on understanding of the previous and current situation of youth in
Syria and about the challenges they are facing in a wider socio-economic framework,
in addition to the way’s youth utilize in order to cope with challenges created by the
conflict.
