Chapter 13: Buying eating plans
In our travels, we have come across many people who are looking for ways
to improve their health and wellness, lose that paunch, or extend their lives
so that their kids can remember them as they grow up.
But most times, these same people are looking for a more defined regimen,
not just general tips and tricks. This was very much the experience of the BTC
Eating Plans crew: “I know I need to lose 10 kilograms, but HOW? They tell
me this stuff, but there is so much food out there, and such a wide variety of
choices that I wouldn’t even know where to begin.”
The BTC Eating Plans series was designed to take the guesswork out of
cooking with purpose, to improve general health. The sample plans included
in the book give you almost a week’s worth of eating that you can relish with
every succulent bite – and not wake up to the consequences tomorrow.
We’ve tried to make these plans as scrumptious as possible, without
compromising on good quality ingredients, but also without boring you to
death with food that tastes like cardboard. Life is for living, and eating is part
of the equation, right? We agree!
However, these meals are focused on… you guessed it… fewer carbs and
more proteins and fats. However, our extended range of plans also includes
meals made with carbs that you can eat, secure in the knowledge that you’ll
still be able to get back into your PJs tomorrow night.
The eating plans cover all your dietary needs, and if you follow them as they
have been laid out, you will lose weight and become healthier. They have
been structured in a certain way to include the maximum benefit for you, and
this is our primary philosophy. We have over 20 years of experience in the
