GRADE 8
Grade 8 Students were introduced to the concept that
energy makes our world brighter, and creating a
brighter future means using renewable energy that can
offer a cleaner and greener future for our planet.
Artificial leaves, once fully developed, will allow us to
create and store hydrogen, just as real leaves help
trees to create and store glucose. But how do they work
and how might we use them? Students explored the
science of photosynthesis and hydrogen production,
before generating creative ideas for integrating
electric leaves and other forms of biomimicry into the
built environment of the city of the future.
The students perceived the fact
that when they come together,
extraordinary things happen.
Eventually the DDD, turned out to
be a grand success, as by the end of
the day the GIHS students came up
with better ideas, better experiences
and were able to demonstrate
innovative techniques for a better
and sustainable future for all.
