        College Rooms

You are responsible for cleaning your own room during semester. When you arrive at College you

will need to complete a checklist of your room contents. When you leave College at the end of
the year, you are to book a time with the Facilities Manager to go through the room’s inventory list
with you to ensure that everything is in correct order. All rooms with fireplaces must have the fire
grates cleaned, and any spare wood must be returned to the woodshed. If the College needs to
clean your room for you, you will be charged to recover the cost. You are not permitted to move

any College furniture out of your room into the corridor as this creates a fire safety risk. You will be
held responsible for and charged for any items missing from your room inventory at the end of the
year. No double beds or couches are allowed to be brought into the College. Please note that

the College accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to private property.

Please do not use sticky tape or adhesive hooks on painted surfaces. Blu-Tack may be used on
the walls; however, this must be removed when you vacate your room at the end of the
academic year. If the walls are already marked when you move into your room, please note the

damage on your condition report before you sign and return it to the College Office. You will be
charged for the costs for repairing any damage to walls or other surfaces for which you are
        responsible.

Cooking (i.e. with toasters or rice cookers) is not permitted in your room as this is a fire safety risk.

Please use the kitchenettes and pantries provided.

Students are not permitted to have animals living in college.

College vacuum cleaners are placed around the building and students are encouraged to
vacuum their rooms regularly. Cleaning materials can be obtained from the Facilities Manager or

        the cleaning staff on request.

You do not have to remove your belongings if you head home during the mid-year break. It is still
important to empty your bin and return any overdue library books.

You must hand in your keys when departing over the Summer break. If you do not hand your keys

in, you will be charged $130 per day as if you are still in residence. Check out and room inspection
at the end of the year must be completed during business hours, or with the Duty Tutor (between
        5pm–9pm weeknights; 9am–9pm weekends).
