16.8 Any data security incident or breach that comes to the knowledge of
SISC will be recorded and reported as required by law. SISC will take
all necessary and reasonable steps to address such incident or breach
and mitigate any negative effect of such incident or breach. If there is
strong suspicion that an incident affects a student’s personal
information, SISC will notify the student of such incident in an
appropriate manner.
16.9 As provided by the Act, students may object to the processing of their
personal data, request to access their personal information, and/or have
it corrected, erased, or blocked on reasonable grounds. SISC will
consider the request but reserves the right to deal with the matter in
accordance with law.
16.10 SISC reserves the right, acting reasonably, to modify its Policy and
Terms of Agreement at any time in its sole discretion, and will
publish notice of any such modification in any of the communication
systems. Any modification is effective immediately upon posting.
17. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The Bureau of Immigration requires international students to secure a Special
Study Permit (SSP) or Student Visa for them to be able to study in the
Philippines. Foreign students need to process the SSP/Student Visa upon
enrolment as part of their admission requirements. The SSP/Student Visa is to
be renewed every year. Students who fail to renew their SSP/Student Visa
one month after the enrollment are considered TEMPORARILY
ENROLLED until fulfilment of such requirement. Penalties imposed by the
Bureau of Immigration for the student’s failure to renew their SSP/Student
Visa within the allowed period shall be shouldered by the student.
18. OTHERS
Students at Southville International School and Colleges may be involved in
school activities where they may be photographed or filmed.
Photographs/videotapes of students may be used in a variety of media to
