Disability Insurance

You may not imagine yourself unable to work due to injury or illness, but it's best to be
prepared. NRDC offers short-tern disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) programs
to provide income replacement if you become disabled and cannot work. Both plans are
        administered by Lincoln.

The STD benefits are covered under NRDC Family Leave Benefits for 100% wage continuation.

NRDC offers you the LTD benefit at no cost. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to participate in the
voluntary LTD Buy-Up benefit. The premium for this optional benefit is completely paid for by you through
payroll deductions on a post-tax basis. LTD pays a benefit after 90 days of disability and may continue paying
you until you reach your Social Security Normal Retirement Age if your disability continues. LTD income
replacement benefits are not taxable income.

This coverage provides income protection that can help you maintain your standard of living, for example,
paying your bills such as mortgage, tuition, and car payments.
