Benefits Reimbursement
Fitness Reimbursement Program
NRDC will reimburse you for 100% of your monthly membership fees, as defined by your contract
or other membership agreement with a covered fitness provider, up to a maximum of $50 per
month. Receipts for recurring payments must be submitted for each charge. The reimbursement will
be split into two payments per month and will appear on your regular paycheck during the period of
your contract.
You can receive reimbursement for just about any fitness membership that benefits your health
including a membership in a bike-share program. Some other examples include gyms (all types,
including YMCA) and studios offering Yoga, Pilates, Tai-chi, kickboxing, spin classes, etc. You must
have a contract or proof of membership.

How does the reimbursement work?
Step 1 : Complete a Benefits Reimbursement Claim Form within 60 days of incurring the
expense, attach the required documentation, and submit the form and the documentation to
reimbursements@nrdc.org for processing. Highlight the cost and the terms of the contract on
your documentation.
Step 2: Your reimbursement will begin with the next possible payroll period after we receive
your proof of membership and will continue each payroll period for the duration of your
contract. If there is no end date on your contract, reimbursement will continue until you inform
us of changes or the reimbursement program ends.
Step 3: If your fitness contract expires and you renew it, send us a copy of the renewal,
reflecting any changes in the monthly fee, to continue your reimbursement.
