APRIL EDITION
The SAP BU recently hired Rick Davis as our new Sales Manager. Rick is based out of Dallas, TX, and comes
to us from SAP where he spent the last four years as a Core Client Partner, focusing on the services side
ERP-SAP Development and Licenses. Prior to SAP Rick worked for TATA, in their SAP Practice, selling services to
of the business in the Upper GB and Enterprise space. During his time there he sold Services, Custom
the oil and gas, retail and manufacturing sectors. We are very pleased to have Rick join our team and look
forward to a successful partnership.
We also just completed our SAP Partner Center of Expertise (PCoE) audit and were re-certified through
September 2019. The PCoE certification allows us to provide SAP Maintenance Support to our license
customers and collect their annual license renewal fee. This was a long process, beginning early last
year, involving a comprehensive review of our technical set up, support documentation and consultant
qualifications. Many months, and hours, went into this effort and the Katalyst team worked closely with our
SAP Partner Service Advisor to meet the requirements and ensure passing.
This month we kicked off a new project with one of our longtime customers to set up their SAP systems for
a new Distribution Center they are opening on the East Coast. This project will be completed in three phases
with the first phase scheduled for completion by the end of June. This is an aggressive schedule with the
Katalyst team led by Dup du Plessis utilizing both on-shore and off-shore resources.
The Basis Team successfully completed the upgrade of our Solution Manager to version 7.2. This was
instrumental in helping us achieve our PCoE certification with the effort led by Vishal Jaiswal. As part of
this upgrade all previous customer maintenance records were migrated to the new version and are now
consolidated in one system.
