Reedley College honored its Class of 2022 graduates and certificate recipients dur- ing two days of celebration last week; part of the college's return to live outdoor gradu- ation ceremonies with a full audience.
Proud parents, family members, friends and class- mates gathered on the south lawn area of the college on May 19 and May 20 for the two outdoor events. The total num- ber of graduates was 1,385; 579 earning a associate's diploma or certificate from Fall 2021 and 806 more from the Spring 2022 semester.
Graduates and certificate recipients weren't swayed by two evenings of warm temper- atures. On May 19, graduates with the Agriculture & Natural Resources, Industrial & Man- ufacturing Technology and Business pathways took the walk and received recognition from President Jerry Buckley and other campus and district

Dinuba, Reedley and Sanger will be hosting Memorial Day cer- emonies on Monday, May 30, in those cities' regional cemeteries.
The day's first event will be at 9 a.m. in Reedley, when the annual Reedley Memorial Day ceremony takes place in front of the Veteran's area at Reedley Cemetery (2185 S. Reed Ave. in south Reedley). The ceremony has been shifted to an earlier starting time to allow those in attendance some relief from the late May heat.
This year's guest speaker is Reedley's Rory Huerta, and Sean Fedor will serve as Master of Cer- emonies. The annual ceremony will include memorial salutes to
each branch of the military, patri- otic music laying of ceremonial wreaths in the veterans' area.

Returning this year is the
Memorial Day services at Smith Mountain Cemetery in Dinuba, following a two-year absence of a live public event because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ceremony is an open invitational to the general public along with the cities of Dinuba, Cutler-Orosi and other smaller Tulare County communities.
Once again, soldier's casket flags will again fly at the cem- etery, and a full ceremony is planned at 10 a.m. involving mil- itary, schools and service clubs.
