5.14. Ambient Sensor
GuardII+ can have an ambient temperature and humidity sensor installed (provided by Iris
Power LP as an option), which helps provide context to measurements.
There are two different models of sensor available; one model has a voltage output, and
the other has a current output. Depending on the model used, the connection is slightly
different; see Figure 5-19 and Figure 5-20 below. Note that the only difference between the
two connections is that the current output probe requires an additional jumper wire installed
between pins 4 and 5 of each input connector; these jumpers are shown in red in Figure 5-20.
The connector for the sensor is near the Ethernet connection at the top of the monitor.
