OTHER STUDENT SERVICE OFFICES
4.1. The University Registrar
4.1.1. Goals and Objectives
4.1.1.1. To maintain an updated registry of student records
4.1.1.2. To ensure a systematic and orderly management of student records
4.1.1.3. To prepare a periodic report on the statistical data as to enrolment and academic performance
of the students
4.1.1.4. To release grades on-line so that each student can access the grades through individual
passwords obtained upon enrolment per semester
4.1.2. Services. This office prepares and issues the following:
4.1.2.1. Transcript of Records;
4.1.2.2. Certifications (enrolment, units earned, graduation, completed academic requirements, etc.);
4.1.2.3. Evaluation forms (official list of subjects already taken by the student with the corresponding
grades obtained);
4.1.2.4. Transfer Credentials (granted to students wishing to voluntarily withdraw from the University);
4.1.2.5. Authentication of Pertinent Documents
4.1.2.6. Diploma; and
4.1.2.7. Rating slips.
4.2. University Library
4.2.1. Goals and Objectives
4.2.1.1. The library’s goal is to support the instructional, curricular, research and extension programs of
the University through an organized, relevant and fast delivery of information services.
4.2.1.2. To select and acquire library materials to complement the academic and other concerns of the
University.
4.2.1.3. To provide individual and group assistance to readers in the use of the library.
4.2.1.4. To encourage reading habit of students faculty and staff by means of current awareness
services.
4.2.1.5. To develop competitive staff to be able to guide students and other researchers toward lifelong
education.
4.2.2. Services
4.2.2.1. Technical Services. This service area is concerned with the acquisition, organization
(classification and cataloging, etc) preparation and preservation of materials.
4.2.2.2. Readers Services. The Readers Services is being supervised by a unit head and is directly
involved in serving library clientele through its five main sections and branch libraries namely:
4.2.2.3. Circulation Section - follows the semi-open shelf system. It houses and circulates the major
collection/holding of the library covering the different areas of discipline. Fiction books are also
found in this section.
4.2.2.4. Reserve Section - This section houses-in process books usually newly acquired books. It also
houses the professional books of newly opened courses or programs like nursing, midwifery and
criminology. Audio visual materials and books of limited copies that are very much in
demand are shelved in this section.
4.2.2.5. Reference Section - Materials found in this section are for room use only. Books found in this
section comprise different kinds of dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, manuals, atlases,
yearbooks, almanacs, bibliographies,, and non-book materials that include maps, globes, vertical
files of clippings, pamphlets, leaflets and ephemeral materials. Books in this section give vital
information on the field of research.
4.2.2.6. Filipiniana Section - This section houses a collection of publications written by Filipino or
foreign authors about Philippine society, people, culture, etc.
