The Trinities
Sri Muthusamy Dikshathar was the most complete
and versatile composer. He is credited to have
infused Hindustani and even Western music into
Carnatic music. The grandeur, majesty and
intellectual appeal in his lyrics are unmatched till
date.
Sri Shyama Sastri is the oldest among the trinity.
His compositions, though small in number are
particularly known for their rhythmic proficiency
or complex thalas. He is known to have
introduced the form of music called ‘Svarajathi’
