                            Scholarship Stipends


         •  In what situations will my scholarship be revoked?
         Recipients may be permanently disqualified if they:
         1.Fail to submit at the time of matriculation for each study term/quarter an
           Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) with the reason “Pursuing Studies” by the
           deadlines specified by the university, college or Mandarin training center.
         2.Fail to pass the Taiwan scholarship annual evaluation.
         3.Fail to achieve, for two consecutive terms/quarters of study beginning from
           the second term/quarter of study in Taiwan, a minimum average academic
           score (MOFA Taiwan Scholarship Program: 60 out of 100 for undergraduates,
           70 out of 100 for postgraduates; MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program: 70 out
           of 100 for undergraduates, 80 out of 100 for postgraduates; MOST Taiwan
           Scholarship Program: 70 out of 100).
         4.Fail to submit a photocopy of an acceptable English/Chinese (TOCFL)
           proficiency certificate, depending on the language of instruction, to the
           university/college when transferring to a new program of study.
         5.Drop out, are expelled from school, violate Taiwan’s laws, or receive any
           major demerits.
         6.Are in receipt of another scholarship or subsidy offered by the government
           of the Republic of China (Taiwan) or other educational institutions
           simultaneously.
         7.Are pre-degree Mandarin language/Huayu Enrichment Scholarship
           recipients who miss a final grade for any study term/quarter, except in case
           of serious illness or accident.

         N.B.: If recipients fail to submit the TOCFL results or certificates by the
             deadline specified in Item 1-2 of Subparagraph 5 of Guideline V, then
             their living allowances shall be suspended by their schools until the
             month they submit the TOCFL results or certificates beginning from
             the next semester,. The recipients shall be responsible for the tuition
             payment even if their living allowances are suspended due to failure to
             submit the copy of results or certificate.
