Document Management Team Coverbind Usage and Supply Order Guidelines
Using the gray slider/handle shown in Image 1, open the machine.
Place the booklet(s) onto the plate. You will notice the machine turns on at this point and
the plate begins to heat up.
Close the slider a bit to hold the booklet in place.
You can use the gray slider to keep adding more booklets as well as to tighten up the
booklets you have inserted to hold them in place.
A beaping sound eminating from the Coverbind machine will indicate when the booklets are
done and ready to be removed from the heating plate.
From there, you can remove your booklets and place them carefully on the cooling rack.
o You will want to ensure that the pages don’t slide around once you remove the
booklets from the Coverbind machine as the glue is still hot and pages can become
“unstuck” or “slide around” until they have finished cooling.
The machine shuts off automatically once all items are removed from the plate. Please note
that you will want to close the machine when not in use as the plate will still be hot for a
while after use. Also, during the “heated” use of th e machine, ensure that no loose paper or
other flammable items are not in close proximity to the machine.
Removing Pages:
To remove pages, simply put the booklet back on the Coverbind plate and allow the glue to
heat up. You can then slide pages out and insert new ones as needed. Just remember to
use the cooling rack again to allow the glue to adhere.
The machine shuts off once all items are removed from the plate.
