SOARING TO EXCELLENCE
MY EXPERIENCE AT DOVELAND.
My experience in Doveland Interna onal
Schools was a blast. I joined Doveland
Interna onal Schools on the 7th of September
2016. My first day at school was special as I was
surrounded by a lot of people whom I had just met
for the first me but it was exci ng. My teachers
were Mr Omolowo and Mrs Abayomi.
Ini ally, I found making friends a bit
difficult but I quickly adjusted to my new
environment. The affability of members of
Doveland family helped me greatly. Some of my
friends were Tein, Sarham and Gare.
Opportunity we had for excursions at
Doveland Interna onal School enhanced our
learning and added fun to it. I par cipated in
excursions to the Na onal Assembly, African
Independent Television (AIT) and an orphanage.
We visited the two chambers of the Na onal
Assembly: the Senate and The House of
Representa ves. We learnt that states in Nigeria
had equal representa on in the Senate. They are
three senators from each state regardless of size
or popula on. In the House of Representa ves
there is propor onal representa on. The number
of representa ves depends on the popula on of
the state.
Year six was more demanding than other
years in my primary school. This was because of
the rigour of preparing for entrance examina on
into secondary school. Among my teachers in
primary were Mrs. Chinwendu, the class teacher;
Mr. Efadi, our literacy teacher and Mr. Cosmas our
numeracy teacher. I thank God that my effort was
not in vain. I was successful in the Loyola Jesuit
Entrance Examina on and I was offered
admission.
To sum up, my experience at Doveland
Interna onal School was great.
I am grateful to all my teachers and
Doveland Interna onal School for the posi ve
impact in my life.
