BSIT
Level III Phase 2
Since extension is a College-wide function of JHCSC, the different schools initiated
their own extension activities among their areas of concern and expertise. This is in
consonance with fulfillment of their commitment to contribute in strengthening the national
well-being. The CES Office is therefore, tasked to coordinate and oversee all the extension
activities of the College towards its own clientele who are farmers, housewives, out-of-
school youth, professionals, barangay officials, students/pupils, etc.
The program under survey started extension projects that were anchored on
‘T’echnology and Literacy initiatives and ‘B’arangay Empowerment and Good
Governance of the TABANGE framework.

Empower Barangay Governance Across ICT (e-Barangay)v1.0
Empower Barangay Governance Across ICT (e-Barangay) is the primary
extension project of the School of Engineering and Technology - JHCSC Dumingag
Campus. It began when it launched in June 2017—4 years ago. It deals with the transfer
of new IT knowledge to the community to create an enhance capability advancement and
technical skills to the community.
Even in local governance structures like the barangay, having a basic
understanding of how to use computers and other IT devices becomes crucial or relevant.
Even in the municipality's most isolated barrio, the digital divide is no longer possible.
