The world as we know it
While many of these theories were developed in the past 150 years, none have
taken into consideration, or could not have predicted, the pervasiveness of
technology. There can be no doubt that technology is changing society in
increasingly fundamental ways.
How can we think of learning with a looming Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR),
ubiquitous internet access, social media and an increasingly interwoven and
connected world? What other perspectives have been offered in the face of a
changing society?

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is transforming the way we live - where our
physical, digital and biological spheres are merging. Almost every industry will likely
be disrupted by this technological revolution, and education is no different. In a world
of Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, self-driving cars, and quantum
computing, how will education be affected? Undoubtedly, those handheld devices
which have become a necessity in our daily lives, yield unimaginable processing
