GOLD COLOURS 2023
OURS 2023
At this year’s Valedictory Dinner, four students received their Gold Colours or a Grammar Blue for achieving
State or National level of participation in their chosen field of endeavour.
Gold Colours (for School-based activities) or a Grammar Blue (for an external activity) are the highest awards the
School can bestow. They acknowledge not only the level of attainment, they also reflect a student’s investment in
the life of the School, such as coaching or mentoring younger students, together with upholding the honour of the
School at all times and demonstrating leadership in their activity.
Receiving their Colours this year were (pictured below, l to r) Casper Larkin, Dual Gold Colours for Athletics and
Cross Country, and a Grammar Blue for Triathlon; William Klein, Gold Colours in STEM (F1 in Schools); Olivia Olivia
Harris, Gold Colours for Netball and a Gr ammar Blue for Rowing, and Willia m Zakis, Gold Colour s for Athlet ics.

2023 HSC RESULTS
2023 HSC RESUL
As a school dedicated to nurturing the overall growth of every student, we take great pride in celebrating the
achievements of all our students, as they are all exceptional individuals. They have not only applied themselves
diligently to their academic programs, but they have also pursued diverse interests in sports, culture, and personal
endeavors, enriching the life of our School and setting an excellent example to those who follow in their footsteps.
Their achievements reflect their journey towards becoming confident and well-rounded individuals. This year,
almost half of our HSC candidates achieved an ATAR of above 80, with almost a third of the cohort received
Distinguished Achievements (Band 6 or E4) in one or more of their subjects.
Dux of the year, with an ATAR of 97.75, is Oliver Drew, and Proxime Accessit is Casper Larkin, who achieved
an ATAR of 96.60. Particularly notable is that all students who applied for early entry into universities gained
acceptance into the courses of their choice. We are tremendously proud of our Year 12 students and wish them
all the very best as they set off on the next part of their life’s journeys beyond BMGS.
