                                alleging  that  he/she  is  equally  qualified  f.or:.   OnJ.y  one
                                hearing  Sh4ll  be  granted  for  each  employes.   If the  City
                                Manage.I;'  reverses  a  layoff  order  after  a  hearing  requested
                                under  subsection  b  above;  an.y  other  tenured  employee
                                subsequently  J.aid  off  will  also  have  a  right  to  a  hearing,
                               under  th.is  administ;rati ve  regulation.
                               Section  6.  If  an  affected  employee  successfully  contests  a
                               notice  of  layoff  under  subsection  c  of  Section  5  of  this
                               administrative  regulation  he/she.  shall  receive  a  rate  of  p·ay
                               p~oportionally  the  same  as  was  held  in  the  pay  grade  of  toe
                               former  position  occupied.   No  employee  shall  receive  an
                               increase  in  pay  as  a  result  of  contesting  a  notice  of
                               layoff.
                               Section  7.  The  Personnel  Departlllent  shall  conduct  an
                               outplaceme11t  proqram  for  all  employees  that  are  laid  off.
                               This  program  will  include  informational  services  on  the
                               State  Unemployment  Program  and  Insurance  Continuation.  All
                               affected  employees  may  request,  in  writinq  that  all  city
                               openings  be  mailed,to  them  for  a  pel:'iod  of  up  to  six  months
                               ;rom  the  notice  of  layoff.
