AN ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION
GOVBRN!NG PRORATION OF
VACATION AND SICK LEAVE ACCRUAL
DURING PERIODS OF
LEAVE WITHOUT PAY

Section 1. The Personnel Rules provide for leave without pay
to allow for continued employment under various circumstances.
Section 2. Taking Leave Without Pay will affect vacation and
sick leave accrual rates in each pay period according to the
followin~ schedule:

Bours Worked and/or Paid Leave Leave Accrual Rate
60.0 - 79.99 75:!: of normal
(79.5 - 105.59 ror accrual rate
fire shift personnel)
~o.o - 59.99 50:1: of normal
(52 . a - 79.49 for accrual rate
fire shift personnel)

Section 3. The leave accrual rates documented in Section 2
are also applicable to employees terminatint in mid pay
period.
All personnel with less than 40 hours (52.79 for fire shift
personnel) of work time and/or paid leave in a pay period will
not accrue vacation or sick leave for that pay period.
