Chairman's Comment
Welcome to the latest edition of our in-house magazine “Something’s Brewing”,
edited by the very talented Paige Sutton.
I have now officially stepped down from my day-to-day role of M.D at
WaterCare Group, allowing me to devote more time to the BSA in the coming
months.
We have thoroughly enjoyed interacting with our readers and partners through
the magazine but now feel as though the focus should be put back into
activities which the BSA have carried out in the past.
In the past years, we have held networking and pop-up trade events,
incorporating a Barista championship, a tea competition, and several regular
curry evenings.
I am seeking venues for a day-long pop-up trade event. Any recommendation
will be very much appreciated. We will also be holding the first of our regular
curry evenings in Reading on or around 16th June. Please let me know if you
would like to join in.
Our Head of Centres for Training Martyn Herriot is off to Greece to work with
our good friends at COTECO and the very active Barista Training schools there.
I wish him every success on what I am sure will be a very tiring week.
I am here at your disposal to discuss all things BSA and Trade-related, and
welcome any direct contact with ideas or discussion points.
With best regards,
Steve Slark
