snippet is to show how much ability to cope exists in the
workplace.
This manager I describe had several attributes including:
1. His attire was always immaculate, never a hair out of
place, a tie askew, or a rumpled suit jacket. A
well-pronounced odor of aftershave lotion. No pens or
pen protector in a shirt pocket.
2. His desk was so clean that the only paper on it was the
one he was working on. No in or out basket. One could
eat off his desk without fear of bugs. No pictures on the
wall.
3. He disliked any form of non-tidiness in the work area.
He had photos taken of the most decrepit cubicles and
posted them on our bulletin board in order to shame the
inhabitant to clean up.
4. He reviewed every submitted report by reading it
backward to discover misspelled words. We had a deal
where we coughed up 5 cents for every misspelled word
he found.
