Charles E. Gorton High School is a comprehensive high school,       Year Opened: 2011
which provides a medical focus through the Academy of Medical
Professions. The selection of students is determined on the         2014-15 Enrollment: 430

to begin college classes (Spring 2015). Networking advisory

College and career exploration opportunities included visits to

visited Gorton’s College Center included SUNY Brockport, Mt.        Graduates
St. Vincent, and Manhattan.
                                                                    Summer Program Offerings:
In February, eleven of the 22 seniors in Gorton’s early graduate    Yonkers Summer Collegiate Academy
program (F.L.I.G.H.T. program - Class of 2015) were Smart           Human Health & Biology
Scholars students. Seventy two of the members of the class of       Financial Accounting
2015 submitted their college applications and are awaiting a        Digital Imaging
response. Some of the acceptances already received are from         Medical Ethics
Georgetown, Wells College, Northwestern, Syracuse, Boudin,          Visual Story Telling
McCauley College SUNY Albany, Binghamton, and Pace                  Introduction to Psychology
