Don’t just be college and career eligible, be career and college ready!
Students who succeed in college and career tend to be innovative, active, driven and
reflective. They have acquired the skills needed for independent learning and have an
easier transition from high school to college or career. Nottingham’s Smart Scholars
ECHS program partners with Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA), State
University of New York School of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF),
Onondaga Community College (OCC), Hillside Work Scholarship Program, and the
Syracuse Say Yes Collegiate Preparatory Academy (Say Yes) to help students acquire
those skills necessary to succeed. Smart Scholars enhance their learning experience
by taking college level and advanced placement courses, enrichment activities, campus
visits, after-school tutoring, mentoring, test preparation (Regents/SAT/ACT), and
attending guest lectures, seminars, Summer Bridge and Summer Institutes.
