Pathways is a small school community that serves students in Male/Female Ratio: 194:186
grades 6-12. We strive to ensure all students graduate college and
career ready. Through our partnership with Smart Scholars and Enrollment by Race/Ethnicity:
Adelphi University, our students are immersed in college African American – 98.4%
preparatory courses and experiences to help facilitate the growth Hispanic – 0.5%
and development necessary to be successful as they transition to Asian/Pacific Islander – 0.8%
young adulthood. Native American – 0.3%
Starting in 6th grade students learn soft skills such as time Percentage Free/Reduced Price Lunch
management, organization, note taking and study skills. As (FRPL): 78%
students progress into high school they begin to learn about the
college process in 9th and 10th grade through a course called Average Number of College Credits
College Ed. As rising juniors students begin to take college Earned by Grade Level:
courses in the summer starting with Black Studies and College 9th Grade – 0
Writing. Once students enter the 12th grade they begin to take 10th Grade -0
college courses on the campus of Adelphi University where they 11th Grade –6
are considered college students. As a result students graduate 12th Grade - 12
with at least a full semester of college completed even before
entering the college of their choice. Average number of college credits
earned by 2014 Graduates: 6
