• An evening on travel to a location or a cruise night sponsored by travel agencies. Food from
that area.
• Comedy nights.

Newsletter
Q18. What would you suggest to improve the content of the newsletter?
• Every two months in Sep to April, monthly in the peak season.
• Too early - I just joined.
• I would read it more often if it was in the actual body of the email instead of an attached pdf.
• I always scroll passed the president and board members messages. I want to see specifics on the
course.
• Weather trends, maintenance schedules, upcoming changes...In general I would say the current
format has far too many words and is likely very time consuming for the writers.
• I think it is written well. There are a lot of sections I don't read (ie. Sengrovals, Handicap
committee).
• It's nice how it is broken up so I can read what I am interested in.
• Some sections are a bit long so I will skip them.
• Better explanation of the Financial income statement / balance sheet.
• Make less “corporate” - a little more insight into what members are about during the winter
season etc.
• Pro Shop news etc.
Club Connect
Q20. What would you suggest to improve the content of the Club Connect?
• The formatting needs work - it could be graphical and easier to digest the information.
• More content relative to the golf world now in terms of social media, etc.
• Every two weeks, captivating headlines, maybe a local rules section (pick a hole and highlight a
rules question and explanation that someone has brought up after being faced with it?)
• Updated layout would make it more engaging to younger members.
General Communication
Q21. What other forms of communication would you suggest to improve membership
communications?
• Post upcoming tournaments and interesting events where you have the sign on the first tee asking
players to wait until the group ahead is on the green prior to hitting - use a dry erase board or
something. I never know about tournaments until it’s too late and I love playing in them.
• I think communication is well done.
• Use Social Media.
• Overall we just need to update the current forms of communication. Bring it to 2020, I feel it is
stuck in 2005. I'm sure we can compare to other local courses to see what necessary changes are
required.
• I read the posters in the men's locker because I pass it so often - it is a good spot.
• Would like to see tournaments scores posted.
• Use Instagram, Twitter.
• Text members.
