Soror Bessie Slaton-Mosley

Soror Bessie received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Lemoyne-Owen
College where she was initiated into Beta Tau Chapter in 1971. She later
became a member of Theta Omega Chapter 01/01/1993 in Chicago,
Illinois. She has been a General Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,
Incorporated® since 03/02/2016. After obtaining a Bachelor Degree in
Business, she began working as a Social Security Administration
throughout the country. She was employed for 35 years until her
retirement in 2010. As a known pioneer in the healthcare industry, she
worked for a few more years after retirement as a contract officer for
healthcare and legal organizations. Soror Bessie is an active member of
the Mississippi Blvd Christian Church. She has been happily married to
Eddie Mosley III for the last 11 years. Together, they have raised their
niece and nephew.

Soror Ashonta Tharps

Soror Ashonta N. Tharps was initiated Spring 1999 at the Kappa Rho
Chapter at Austin Peay State University. Soror Ashonta currently serves
as the Accountant for West Cancer Center and the UT/West Institute for
Cancer Research. She also serves on the Board of Trustees at Greater
Whitestone Missionary Baptist Church and as the Treasurer and Board
member for The Stone Community Development Corporation that serves
the South Memphis community. Her passion for serving the community
resonates through various areas of her life. In her free time, Soror
Ashonta enjoys reading (She love biographies) and cooking for her loved
ones.
