Soror Cassandra Ruth Silvers-Turner
Soror Cassandra has served for 39 years as an outstanding educator. She has
worked tirelessly as a teacher, coach, Assistant Principal, K-3 Principal, 7-12
Principal, 9-12 Principal, Alternative School Principal, Assistant
Superintendent, Adjunct Professor and State Academic Monitor.
Best known for transforming low performing schools, Soror Turner gladly takes
on the challenge of mentoring students from the most distressed areas of
Shelby County (Frayser and Raleigh). Being the fifth child out of 15 siblings, a
successful athletic coach of five teams (boys and girls) and most importantly, a
mother of two sons (Terrence and Carlos Turner) and a grandmother of one
grandson (Terrick Turner), Soror Cassandra knows how to capture the
attention, hearts and minds of young adults by providing the tools, access and
avenues for success. This is her passion and her gift! Soror Cassandra is also
the Founder and CEO of Cassandra Silvers-Turner & Associate Educational
Consulting Team and co-owner of Cassandra Ruth Silvers-Turner
Warehousing LLC.
Soror Lashunda Skipper
Soror LaShunda Skipper is devoted to her place of employment-
Lebonheur Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinic in Memphis; her church
Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis. Her greatest joy;
however is being the wife of Metellos Skipper to whom she has been
married to for 10 years, and the mother of their two sons Devin and
Dylan Skipper. She attended college at Austin Peay State University in
Clarksville, TN and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
While at APSU she became a member of Kappa Rho Chapter of Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® in spring 2002. Six years later she
claimed a second Bachelor of Science degree, this time in nursing, from
Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis.
