1. Location and Direction

Unit Overview

In this unit, students will learn and understand the vocabulary for indicating
location left, right, front, back, inside, outside, between, etc. and will complete
activities to find the location of objects. Students will express location using
themselves as a starting point and express locations using other objects or
other people as a starting point. Express location and direction of familiar
objects to develop concept of spatial sense.

Show the students the location of objects with them as the starting point, and then help them to
find the location of things in relation to other objects given in the problems. Have the students
think of the other ways to express Mike and Gina’s seats.
