2. Parts and Whole

Unit Overview

Understanding the relationship between a whole that can be divided into parts
and the parts that can be put together to make a whole is an important
concept to improve logical thinking.
In this unit, students will look at parts of objects and identify the whole, and try
to piece the parts together to make a whole.
These activities will improve the observation, concentration, and organization
skills. Furthermore, have the students divide into different numbers of parts to
show that the whole can be made with different numbers of parts.
