10 AUDIOVISUAL

        10.1 OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF SYSTEMS
Audiovisual systems are both a functional necessity and highly visible amenity that delineates between the run-of-the-mill and the
state-of-the-art in built environments. The high-profile nature of this project and the showcase design of many of the architectural
features make the need for top of the line AV system a must.

The Audiovisual (AV) system will be installed in amenity and common areas of the project. These systems shall be configured as
        described below.
All AV system equipment will be network based and housed within the technology rooms. These systems will include all control,
switching and amplification necessary to complete the required tasks.
The AV systems will be fully integrated into the architecture of the facility to provide an unobtrusive experience to the user. The
intent of the AV systems is to provide a clean, simple, and intuitive viewing and listening experience to the user.
The following systems are included within the Audiovisual solutions:

            • Overhead Paging
            • Presentation systems
            • Background multi-zone audio

            • Digital Signage:
               o Wayfinding,
               o Elevator Displays
WSP envisions the following areas to have AV systems:
            • Tower Lobby (Civic Hall Lobby not included)
            • Livingrooms

            • Elevator Lobbies
            • Roof top

        10.1.1 TECHNOLOGY

This system shall utilize the latest in digital audio, video and networking technology. The entire system shall be digital and
not utilize combinations of analogue and digital circuits. At the first point of connection to the system, microphones and
other program sources shall be digitized and remain in the digital domain until the final power amplifiers. Systems that use
multiple stages of analogue/digital quantization are not acceptable.
            • The system shall be entirely software driven. No analogue controls may exist anywhere in the system that could allow
               unauthorized adjustments or users.

            • Microprocessors shall manage and control all system functions and hardware including microphone communication
stations, announcement queuing, telephone interfaces, distribution of emergency announcements, local announcements,
terminal announcements, background music distribution, announcement recording, and messaging.
