i. Business systems depicting organizational work flows - A
business process consists of several stages performed by
different employees or departments, resulting in
achievement of an organizational goal
ii. Technical systems depicting stages in mechanical system -
technical process consists of stages that involve equipment
operations such as how a steam turbine works, or how
glopples are manufactured in the erylitizer
iii. Scientific systems depicting how natural phenomena occur -
Scientific processes focus on natural systems such as how a
hurricane forms or how blood circulates
2. Motivational and Instructional Value of Processes
When an employee's work is part of an organizational
system, an understanding of the process can support learning
of job tasks, work motivation, and overall product quality
3. Identifying the Processes in Your Training
As you look at the tasks you are about to train, ask yourself
whether there is an associated process linked to that task
the knowledge of which would improve job performance
Processes can be presented briefly at a high level or more
extensively with considerable detail
Part of your analysis needs to determine the amount of detail
optimal for effective job performance
A process may also form the overarching organizational
framework for a course in which separate modules in the
course include tasks related to a specific phase of the
process
4. Learning Processes at the Remember and Application Levels
Except for facts, all the content types can be processed at
either the remember or application level
When learning processes at the remember level, the learner
recalls or recognizes the basic stages associated with the
process
