SEAT ASSEMBLY If chrome trim pieces were removed, apply 1-2 drops of Loctite ® 242 (Blue) on the threads of the nine screws that secure trim pieces. Install trim pieces on seat pan and tighten screws to 5-10 in-lbs (0.56-1.13 Nm). Place rider seat pad on seat pan. Install flat washers on the front two bolts and install six bolts that secure seat pad. Tighten bolts to 12-20 in-lbs (1.36-2.26 Nm). See Figure 2-29. If tailpiece (9) was removed, apply 1-2 drops of Loctite ® 242 (Blue) on the threads of the two bolts (10). Assemble tailpiece on seat, install bolts (10) and tighten to 36-60 in-lbs (4.0-6.78 Nm) If tang that engages frame was remo

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION See Figure 2-28. Remove screw at rear of tail section using a T30 Torx tool. Lift seat up and to rear to disengage tang on seat from Reverse procedure to install seat. 1WARNING 1WARNING After installing seat, pull upward on front of seat to be sure it is in locked position.
