SPECIALTY TOOL Cylinder torque plates CAUTION Failure to use cylinder torque plates can produce mea- surements that vary by as much as 0.001 in. (0.025 mm), possibly resulting in the use of parts that are not suitable See Figure 3-119. To simulate an assembled cylinder for accurately measuring cylinder taper and out-of-round conditions, as well as for boring, honing or deglazing, obtain the CYLINDER TORQUE PLATES (Part No. HD- 42324-A).
