9.5  Windows Installation

                   If windows login test unable to find out the defect, then we must duplicate the customer
                   environment for OS installation to verify the issue is caused by M/B defect or operation
                   mistake by customer.

                   The defects could be:
                   01. Windows installation fails and displays blue screen (XP, VISTA, and Windows 7) -
                   The defect happens during windows installation and shows error message or blue
                   screen. For this defect, try to disable device function in CMOS settings one by one
                   indentify the device which causes the defect.

                   02. Hang up during Windows installation (XP, VISTA, and Windows 7) - If system
                   hang up or freeze during installation, please check voltage on chipsets and CPU first to
                   make sure the voltage is stable. Then, remove heat sink and check whether any scratch

                   or sign of overheat on BGA chip.
                   03. Hard drive not found during Windows installation- Check hard drive information in
                   CMOS settings. If the setting is SATA AHCI mode, the AHCI driver must be loaded
                   for Windows installation (This issue is on windows XP and earlier versions).
