1.3 Repair System
GIGABYTE use online system, GRMA, for RMA control, all RMA data must be
entered to this system. It is very important for the operation site to enter the correct data.
There are two important sections that would be recorded by repair center, one is the
Error Code and another one the Reason Code.
The Error Code is used to record the defect when customer sends RMA back, but not all
the time customer would provide this information. In this situation, please enter the
Error Code which detected by engineer or pre-tester.
The Reason Code is used to record the repair history, including the fault parts and
condition. With this information, we can figure out the cause is manufacturing related
or design related, and therefore we can further improve the quality and performance.
The advantages of GRMA system:
- assist quality improvement
- reduce 2nd RMA rate
- shorten the TAT time
- Information Announcement
- Component data search
- Repair report and analysis
For the repair system operation, please refer to GRMA system instruction for the detail.
