Moreover, an ideal teacher needed by the school is one that can
subscribe to a pedagogy of care, who is a role model to learners,
because the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of learners is
important. Most of the learners live in shelter, they do not have elderly
role models, or parents therefore, teachers become their guide and
role models. Therefore, teachers should ensure that they become
parents to those learners and provide, love and care for them. The
attitudes that learners have towards teachers they also contribute to
it, because they fail to set proper rules to learners, which makes
learners behave and do as they please, therefore an ideal teacher
should be someone who is able to set proper rules to learners and
stick to those rules by leading by example, for example if a teacher
says no learners should come late in class the teachers should be
punctual as well.
An ideal teacher that the school also need a teacher that is
passionate about their field of study and instil the love and joy of
learning in class. This will make learners to love the subject instead
of doing it for the sake of doing it, this could also fix the high lever of
poor performances especially in subjects such as maths and physics.
The school need an ideal teacher who ensures that learners are
equipped by the 21century skills, by allowing learners to be critical
thinkers, problem solvers, these skills can be taught by using learner-
centred strategies such as enquiry-based learning.
An ideal teacher should use previous knowledge and experience of
learners, when introducing a new topic, to make it easy for learners
to understand the content. An ideal teacher should embrace the
changes that are happening around the world, for example

ideal teacher should respect all learners in class, and allow them to
embrace their differences, by being informed about their learning
